You are now watching: TDAP flap for ear reconstruction

Patient with a recurrent dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans of the postauricular region and ear. Previous excisions required local flaps of the scalp. A radical excision is planned and reconstruction is performed with a free thoracodorsal artery perforator flap to avoid bulkiness in the area and to allow a secondary auricular reconstruction. Microsurguical anastomosis are done through a separate small incision in the ipsilateral neck. Temporal vessels are left untouched to allow a secondary autologous ear reconstruction.
